Mira Costa High School & Mustang Football proudly celebrate a legacy of tradition, excellence, and community pride.

From countless CIF playoff appearances to 5 runner-up finishes and 3 championships, Mira Costa Football has etched its name into the fabric of Southern California athletics. Much of this success has come under the leadership of longtime Head Coach Don Morrow, whose impact continues to shape the program and its players.

To be a part of Mira Costa Football is to bleed green & gold. The experience of Friday Night Lights in our close-knit coastal town is nothing short of legendary. When a player steps onto the field wearing that gold helmet, they become part of something bigger: a brotherhood, a legacy, a tradition.

More than just wins and titles, Mira Costa Football is about building character. Under Coach Morrow’s guidance and unwavering dedication, the program instills lifelong values — hard work, determination, responsibility, teamwork, and most of all, love. Love for one another and love for the game. Preparing young people to succeed both on and off the field.
